Here in the workshop, we are feeling the strain of labour time vs productivity and profitability. Thats why since November 2012, 75% of our profits has been pumped back into the workshop in the form of new machinery. We have invested in a new panel saw (refurbed SCM MiniMax SC4W ) which opens up a new door for producing high quality kitchen carcasses for our bespoke kitchens. It also removes room for waste as the new scribing facility which the saw features, allows for cleaner cuts and less chipping than the former saw we worked with.
We also invested in a new edgebander (refurb SCM MiniMax ME15), which brings automation to the workshop which is a great and important step for the business. This means now that we can increase productivity in the workshop and also acieve better edge finishing for our cut and edged boards.

We are really trying to push our progression from a small business to a more established business and are pleased that we have had the opportunity to re-invest in ourselves.
